Former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has picked out struggling Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen as a player he wants to transform into a Premier League star.

Van Persie is convinced that he can offer tips to his fellow Dutchman that can make a big difference to the player and improve his game. The player who himself, has not been a part of Danny Blind’s plans recently believes that he can act as a mentor to the younger players to help them improve their game.
Janssen has made little impact since making the move to White Hart Lane from AZ Alkmaar in the summer for 18million euros. The 22-year old has scored just 3 goals in 20 matches this season – all of which have been from the penalty spot.
Premier League legend, RVP, who had prolific spells at Arsenal for eight years and Manchester United for three years, believes he can assist Janssen into a smooth transition and adaptation into the Premier League through his interaction with the Holland international and develop him into a bona fide star.
Speaking to AD, “If I see Vincent Janssen play, I think, a really good striker” said Van Persie.
“He’s done really good in Orange. But I also see things in his game that I think I could help him.
“Details, small notes and tips. If Vincent is open to it, of course, the way that time between Ruud van Nistelrooy and me went. I myself have long played in the Premier League for eleven years. In the process, I could play a role, I think,” he added.
Janssen has been struggling with an ankle injury which has troubled him and kept him out of some matches in recent weeks including the 1-0 defeat against Manchester United.
